SWORD BEACH | RED QUEEN
In 2022, to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Piper Bill Millin, Rémy LAMBERT, in collaboration with the Millin clan and family, has created a set of mediation tools to enhance the memory of June 6, 1944 and the famous Piper. He landed on the beach alongside Lord Lovat and the n°4 commando at Colleville-sur-Orne, now Colleville-Montgomery.
The Past Was in Colours produced the content in colorization entirely by hand, without AI, via an upstream documentary research phase.
An audio testimonial by John Millin (son of Bill Millin) completes the content. Jacob Millin (Bill Millin's grandson) plays one of the songs played by his grandfather on the morning of June 6, 1944.
